you do what you have to do. I'd recommend using soap twice a week max. also, use lotion after every bath! unscented.
@Michelle ok thank you i mostly use baby dove
Just don't use soap every time and lotion up after!
I bathe every night but only use soap every other night. And lotion after every bath regardless if I used soap or not
We come from a 2-3 showers a day culture/country lol so we give him a bath every night and use fragrance free soap every time… then do a little lavender lotion massage everyday. It’s become part of his routine and he sleeps very easily after it.
@Aline from a skin microbiome perspective I wouldn't recommend starting soap every night - research suggests this contributes to increased abnormal immune responses on skin
(not saying to change your routine, Aline, but I'm suggesting to the person who posted this that they shouldn't use soap ad frequently
@Finn As I stated, there is a cultural difference there. With a simple google search I get different results in the different languages for example . Brazilian pediatricians recommend that babies be bathed and soaped daily. Specially their little folds. They recommend that the soap be liquid, mild, soap-free, fragrance free, with neutral or slightly acidic PH. My comment was intended to show an example of a circumstance where bathing daily is OK for baby.
@Aline Yeah! I'm just sharing my perspective on things. And every mom can do what's best for their child!
If you use lotion after the bath it shouldn't be a problem.
