@Madison yes to everything except the walking from one piece of furniture to the next.
@Madison she has a fisher price (the dog one) and a wooden Montessori walker also
I would try working with her on that. If you have a ottoman or a chair you can place across from the couch just barely far enough away where she can’t hold on to be able to get to it and try having her hold on to your hands while doing it. Keep doing this to help her build confidence but slowly lessen how much you help her. Like have your hand there but don’t support her if that makes sense and hopefully she’ll eventually get the confidence to do so on her own
Coming from a preschool teacher, don’t worry if they aren’t walking yet! I don’t think parents know how common it is for children to not walk until closer to 18m. 7/8 of my last class didn’t start walking until around 16/17 months old
My baby was the same. I think she was scared and one day she just did it. It will happen 😊
@Hope thank you so much for this. I’m hoping one day it’ll click and she’ll just do it because I can tell she really wants to but isn’t fully confident and scared 🤍
@Michelle that’s awesome! Mine is def scared and not confident. I’m truly hoping one day it clicks for her cause I can tell she wants to do way more than her body and mind are letting her right now!
@Madison yes I def need to keep at that with her. Thank you!
Mine isn’t waking either. I’m not worried yet, but our pediatrician recommended that we get some evaluation just in case.
@Tatiana okay I feel like doctors are so different but that’s good you’re not worried. One thing that keeps me motivated is all her other milestones and development she has been going through so I’m hoping it’ll just come naturally soon for her
Ofc! I hope it helps. Also my son loved to use a diaper box to push around 😂. I’ve also seen where you can get a hula hoop or like roll up a blanket and see if she will hold on to that and walk with you I wouldn’t be worried yet though.
Mine isn't walking on her own yet! She can take a couple steps on her own, but she prefers crawling because she's quick. She does like walking outside while holding my hands though
My almost 16 month old isn’t walking independently yet (can take up to about 10 steps but doesn’t do it often) and we just found out that she has over pronation in her ankles that cause them to roll inwards which then causes her to fall. She’s very unstable and you can tell she wants to walk so bad but it is kind of hurting her :( so she has to do physical therapy and is being referred to orthotics for ankle braces. Not trying to scare anyone- Just something to look out for. Pay attention to your little one’s feet and ankles when they walk because I would have never known had we not contacted early intervention!
My daughter started walking at 20 months she just randomly stood up one day and started walking lol she use to walk on her knees for months beforehand, they’ll walk when ready I even took her physiotherapy but they saw nothing wrong with her and she was hitting all other development milestones

My son is the 2nd kid and 15 mo. Not walking. I fully believe he’s just lazy because his sister gives him everything😂 he walks when he’s holding something. Just when his hands are empty, he refuses. He laughs and pops a squat
Is she cruising along furniture? Does she try to “bridge the gap” walking from one piece of furniture to the next having to take a small step in between? What kind of walker? Does she crawl on all 4’s. All important info
