Health Visitor 10m Check

I was booked a telephone appt with the health visitors for my little boys 10 month check. They never phoned and when I called them, was told it was going to be rearranged. I haven’t heard anything since, can’t get hold of them and was wondering if anyone has had the same issue? I have no concerns for my boy and his development, but I’m due to go back to work next week, meaning making appts is going to be a lot more difficult. Are the 10 month checks necessary?
