How to fit workouts in

Any advice on finding the time to exercise? My little one is now 13 months. He used to have a good two hour nap in the morning which is when I'd squeeze a workout in - and then he'd have a cat nap in the afternoon. The past couple of weeks he seems to have dropped to one nap and won't go down for longer than an hour. At the moment the day looks like this 6am: Wakeup 12pm - 1pm: Nap 8pm: Bedtime I could technically squeeze a workout in during nap time but that one hour feels like I should be doing house bits. After bed I'm rushing round making dinner, eating etc. And by the time I've eaten and unwound for the day I'm going to bed about 11pm/12. So the only thing I can think of is getting up at 5am but I am not a morning person so this will take some work 😂 Any other tips???

Eat dinner with them so that you don’t need to eat after 8pm?

I agree with the comment above, by eating the same time as everyone else your creating a healthy routine and shows that the family eats together the older the kids get, I tend to do my workouts once kids are in bed also around 8ish

When my daughter dropped to one nap, around the same age as yours, she’d only nap an hour. Gradually as she adjusted that got longer and now she does 2 and a half hours! So that time might come back. And if you only have the nap time you could do house bits with them?

We do eat together when we can, as I know this creates a healthy routine. But I've had to go back to work 4 days a week so my son will have dinner at nursery. I literally work until 6, go pick him up, have two hours playing/bath etc until 8, then it's bedtime. Then I cook our dinner, eat, clean up etc. We do eat together the 3 days Friday - Sunday.

@Jessica Quite a relief to hear she's extending her nap and hope my little one does too 😅 True on doing the house bits with him - and I could just be super efficient in that hour I have available

Try to think of it more as trying to find 3 x 45 minutes a week to squeeze in a workout. Less daunting than trying to find time every day to workout x
