Struggling with work after bad sleep

Is anyone else struggling being back at work with lack of sleep? This morning my daughter has been up on and off since 4.30, so I've been awake since 4.30. How am I meant to work effectively? Has anyone got any advice on how to focus after so little sleep, or how to try and set expectations?

Only thing that helps me is caffeine and sugary sweets to get through my work day. I work with kids so I’m constantly on my feet running around and doing jobs. Sometimes I’ll have a nap after work while dad looks after our daughter x

My son wakes very frequently at night (not even managing 2h stretches lately) and is usually an early riser. I deal with almost all the night wakes, dad takes him when he wakes up so sometimes I can get an extra hour or so before I have to be up to get ready for work. I think I’ve just got used to it to be honest. I find eating well helps, coffee, getting fresh air and keeping busy- I think if I had a desk/office job that I’d struggle more!

An early night! My day usually starts at 5 (or half 4 this morning), full time IT job, I do have some days where I struggle but find that if I go to bed early it helps. I choose sleep over evenings at the moment. I'm sure at some point she'll sleep past 5 but for the time being that's her wakeup time
