Get em self settling and following wake windows, not too much daytime sleep.
Start from the day you come home from hospital with a morning and bedtime routine also turn the light on in the morning at the same time every day and keep it on till bedtime then dark as possible
I’m not sure how old your LO is but taking away milk bottles for my toddler was the best thing I’ve done. He sleeps all night for a good 10-12 hours and ever since we took it away he has actually been eating the he should be. I’m not sure what age it is but there is a certain age where they do not need the nutrients from eating at night and although it’s rough at first talking away night feedings/bottles I swear taking it away makes them sleep so much better!
Routine , sound machine - if they wake early let them lay there if happy until desired wake up time x
Reduce daytime naps
Routines! For my baby is crucial to do bath time. My baby is already so used to it that if I haven’t given his his bath by 9pm he starts to get fuzzy and sleepy. Daytime i open all curtains and try to sit by a window with him so he can get some sun. Bottle every 3hrs during the day, we do formula, waking him up from naps to eat if needed. At night, only feeding when he wakes up. Also brown noise and red light. Turn all lights off and to sleep. Hope this helps!! Good luck! Edit- my baby is 11weeks old
@Amelia from they are eating 3 meals a day
Depends on age as to what is appropriate.
How old is your little one?
When you hear them stirring just pause and wait a few minutes. Don't go rushing in and picking them up. Babies will wake in-between sleep cycles but just need time to settle themselves back to sleep. They do make noise and move around in that time. Give them a few minutes (they recommend 10) before intervening. However, if the cries get worse whilst you're waiting then pick them up and do whatever.
It really depends on your little one’s age.
Full belly! I keep giving my daughter snacks up until our bedtime routine. She’s used to nursing to sleep and certainly sleeps better when she goes to bed feeling full. Cheerios and spoonfuls of peanut butter are the go-tos lately
Sound machine and blackout curtains
@Rochelle yeah he is, he’ll almost clear his plate most the time
