@Louise thank you so much! That’s so helpful!! Xx
Get wipeable bibs! The material ones get so disgusting even when you wash them.
You can also get bibs that collect any dropped food, they have been great for me😂 If you’re worried about mess you can buy catchers for under the highchair but I have wooden floors so I haven’t bothered x
How have you guys been getting on with weaning? Any suggestions! Baby is so picky I’m trying slowly but it’s hard to get him to try anything right now lol
@Anita some days are very hit and miss. He won’t hold anything that’s slimy such as avocado😂it’s taken him 5 tries to like egg and not cry when I try😂but he lovesss his toast and porridge!! Just keeping trying, it took about 4 weeks for him to be properly interested in food and now he just rams it all in his mouth I try to do it as soon as he wakes up from his nap or an hour after milk. If he’s too hungry, too full or too tired he’s not interested and will just kick off x What kind of things are you giving?x
@Louise that makes sense, I’ve just tried porridge and he will somewhat take that, mashed up banana, mashed potatoes, I haven’t tried many things for him to hold I’m nervous lol! But purées mostly so far and he likes a couple things but is fussy with most. I know it takes time though and I think I want to try more baby led weaning it’s just scary knowing what to give etc.
2 things: Babies' taste bubs change every 48 hours compared to us (every couple of weeks) Silicone plates can retain soap and make food taste bad, which will lead to the baby rejecting the food. There are 2 solutions for that are to routinely prep the silicone plates or use different ones such as bamboo or stainless steel.
Look up solid eats app. They provide a great amount of information on insta as well. Will give you great ideas on how to do BLW

Just out of curiosity at what age have you started? I see such a variation online! Xx
@Abigail I haven’t started yet she’s only 3.5 months, just starting to buy stuff now so it’s not such a big expense 😂 xx
@Abigail 6 months and shown signs of readiness, sometimes this can come later at 7 months, but never give before 6 months unless told to by a doctor x
Plates - I have ones that are just a plate and others that have different sectioned off areas and it’s suction too (munchkin) Bowls Spoons Storage bowls/boxes Storage bags for freezing Bibs!! Hand and face wipes Sippy cup - I use tommee tippee A hand blender, honestly been amazing for puréed vegetables to put into other recipes such as broccoli tots and savoury muffins I’m following “baby led weaning made easy” which has made meal planning so easy! It introduces all the allergens first and in such a great way x I have “Bebe” highchair from Asda, amazing! Although the suction plates from munchkin don’t fit🫠
