Toddler ignores baby

I’m not sure if it’s a normal behaviour but my 2 year old just ignores his baby brother (now 4 months old). He strokes his head here and there but that’s it. Nothing negative just the way it is. I spend as much time with him as I can, also trying to involve him but he’s not interested. Anyone who went trough this, please tell me they will start bonding soon 🙏

Babies this small are boring compared to the explorative world of a toddler. My son is the same to his 7 week old sister. He will occasionally stroke her, give her a little kiss, he will hold her every few days for about 2.5 seconds total. Then no interest. When the babies are more involved I think this will change. You're doing great mama!

@Brianne thank you for replying ❤️ we had few very shy kisses, too and I was just wondering if it’s going to “improve”. Baby is really interested in his brother and full of smiles all the time, who wouldn’t want to cuddle and kiss him?! 😅💕🩵 my toddler is a very loving, caring and sensitive boy, hopefully he’ll be interested soon

Sounds normal tbh with the toddler and the newborn baby it is normal especially if the little one has just been born recently aw they get b8gger the toddler will start to show interest but don't worry x
