Military Child Support

Good morning. My soon to be ex husband has been separated for six months. I haven’t received any money from him. I haven’t asked. We split the time with our child 50/50. He pays for the daycare (which includes the stipend payment he gets from the military), so I think it’s a fair deal. My child is 3 and will be out of daycare in about 2 years and will most likely go to public school. We’re soon going to go to mediation to finalize our divorce agreement. Should I ask for child support?
