How old is he?

My daughter was similar. Took months and months before she picked something up herself. Did he do purées before blw?

The stress of transitioning/ including solids before one is overwhelming. The truth is that not all kids are ready, and forcing them can actually be harmful. I would just follow baby's lead. If he enjoys being spoon-fed, there is nothing wrong with that. Don't show frustration and just be consistent with offering things. How is his pincer grip? I would work and practice that skill also. Try not to compare. It's hard, but every child is different.

I never follow the age for solids instead I go based on my pediatrician who said “when they show interest” every child is different and just cuz one baby is ready at 6 months doesn’t mean all babies will be so definitely give some time

My 10 month old won’t eat food with his hands. He will hold his spoon and feed himself. But if he touches it, he is super disgusted. And yet will pick up paper and eat it without hesitation 😩

My 9 month old has been doing BLW since 6 months, so she's very much used to eating/feeding herself now. However, she hesitates initially with pasta with a sauce (I think it's the slimyness lol) however once she got a taste for it she was full on hands in 😅
