I’m a full time stay at home Mom, so I don’t know if what I say will have any value to you but I can say that being home all week with my son I still had to drop a lot of expectations. Particularly the tidiness and organization of my home, constantly picking up organizing and so on steals SO much time. My house is not dirty or looking like a zoo but I had high expectations of my house being show worthy, I’m big into interior design I actually had my own store that I left but anyhow. Letting expectations go. Another is meal plan/meal prepping, figuring out what we are eating and cooking also took up a lot of time. I simplified our meals a lot especially so my son can just eat what we eat. I shop on Sunday so my husband is home with the baby, and I dedicate 2 hours to meal prepping. This looks like pre-chopping any veggie we might need, preparing things such as homemade tortillas, any breads, sauces, dressings, and some type of breakfast option. Usually a quiche, egg bites,
Or cottage cheese pancakes. I stick to my routine but I’m not so rigid that we can’t be spontaneous, it’s all 80:20. I think sitting down and writing down what exactly needs to be done at home for you to feel put together is the best way to go. Hope this helps
