In Australia there are 4 month vaccinations which you can get done at your gp (which is what they might be referring to 🤷🏻♀️)
Never heard of this
In the US the second set of vaccines/well visit is at 4 months
It’s not a UK-based thing. You have your regular HV check ups, and visit the GP for vaccinations or any specific concerns. Although first line is usually HV unless urgent.
I’ve not had the health visitor come round since my son was about 9 weeks old! They would contact you if they wanted to come over and the same for the GP. As long as vaccinations are up to date I wouldn’t worry to much - I’m pretty surprised at how left to our own devices we are in the UK but I guess that’s what comes with a strain on the NHS xx
@Ellie you can reach out to your HV team any time and book an extra appointment ☺️ they’re not routine but completely accessible. We also have things like family centres etc. All for free vs the paid service provided in the US.
Our son had a check-up at the GP surgery in Scotland. I did have to phone closer to the time to book the appointment.
I've never heard of this, if in the UK maybe referring to the 3-4 month check up with the health visitor? Unless they state gp 😅
