My baby was about 4-5 months when I went back to work he absolutely did not want to take any bottle. After the 3rd day of me working he was taking bottles fine. I have stopped working since then to be a sahm he's 7 months now and still primarily breastfeeds but will still take a bottle when I leave him home with his dad. He gets formula anytime he gets a bottle. I gave up on pumping
I introduced bottle around 7 months. Took some time. But bought mam and then gave to him to play with so that he got used to it. When I put milk in for the first time he was lunging towards it. Will now only bf or have bottle where there are no distractions
My girl take mam bottles with size 0 nipple when I go to work have not tried any other bottles because she took to them great we exclusively breast feed minus the 2 bottles she get at night when I’m working
If you don’t introduce a bottle after about six weeks and give one fairly regularly then chances are baby will refuse. Some babies do absolutely fine but that wasn’t my experience. I hated pumping aswell so she rarely got a bottle. At about three months onwards she wouldn’t accept. Thankfully will now take small amounts from a sippy cup.
How old is your baby? I missed the window to introduce the bottle so my baby never really took it ....didn't like sippy cups either...he is 14 months old now and is starting to like sippy cups ...he has always drank well from a plain straw and from open cups .
