Shorter luteal phase after MC

Anyone else’s luteal phase changed after a miscarriage? I’ve had a MMC early January at 10+2 weeks, 28 days later I’ve had my first period, so this was my first proper cycle since. My luteal phase used to be 12 days, so started my period 13 days after ovulation. I’m currently 10 or 11 days after ovulation, and my period just came on.😳

My regular luteal phase is 16 days but was only 10 after mmc. I conceived the next cycle so can’t comment on how it would have been, but now it’s 16 days again. I think it’s just the first cycle that’s wonky but might be wrong

@Holly thanks so much for commenting. I guess I’m just too impatient, it hasn’t even been two whole months since I miscarried, so should be kinder to my body!🤗

Girl it’s the most devastating thing I’ve been through, so I totally get you. I was also shocked to have come on my period at 10dpo. Also my next period was only 2 days but I had a lovely positive at 10dpo the next cycle😅 Tbh I believe it’s good to let your body have a little rest when these things happen, it can only do good. Wishing you a bfp next month ! ☺️

@Holly thank you and congratulations to you! I know, miscarriage is sucks! It was my third one since August 2024. We’re taking a break now anyways, just to give my body enough time to recover, so hopefully things will be back to normal before we start trying again…was planning to try from April.

Sometimes taking a break is exactly what you need. So sorry to hear about your recurrent loss, it must be so difficult. Hope the next one sticks and makes you a mama :) all the best x

I miscarried 7th January and haven’t had a period since the miscarriage bleeding. But yesterday caught my ovulation peak. I’m so confused xxx

@Stacey I miscarried on the 2nd of January.😢 I’m sorry about your miscarriage.😞 Maybe you’ll be ovulating now! I hope your cycles will get back on track.🙏
