@Jess was it in person then? I want to do one but worried I’ve left it too late now. I did an antenatal class but it didn’t cover first aid! Wondering whether to wait until baby is here and then go to one xx
@Briony mine was yess, I mean there is also lots of info online to maybe look through too and then yes once babies here maybe go to one x obviously not an essential but to have some knowledge on certain things is good to have 💕xx
@Jess I think I’ll book on to one when she’s here then! Thank you xxx
I did an online antenatal class through the Baby Academy UK and they sent me their online first aid course to watch so I plan on doing that before baby arrives (or during one of many sleepless nights afterwards).. definitely recommend them x
@Chloe ooo that’s a good idea! We did an antenatal class through them aaages ago so I’ll have a look. Thank you! X
Yes we did one with Mini First Aid as they came highly recommended! They actually allow you to take your baby with you so it’s never too late! There were more couples with babies than without at my session. I think it’s always better to do first aid courses in person as you can practice on the dummies they have.
@Bethan thank you! I looked at the mini first aid ones but the next one locally is all booked up so would definitely have to be when she’s made her arrival! Reassuring that lots of others took their babies though! Thank you xx
@Briony Yes they were really accommodating so if you need to get up and step out for a bit or feed the baby then it was not an issue at all 😊 They actually say on their website that babies are welcome so if you can’t fit one in before baby is born then you have the option to go after!
@Bethan thank you! Xx
I did the happy parents happy baby online first aid course. It was great it was delivered by a paediatrician https://happyparentshappybaby.com/baby-first-aid-classes x
@Christie ah thank you! X
Yes, part of an antenatal course I would highly recommend doing one for peace of mind xx
