Stomach is really tender after scan

She had a spend a good 10 minutes prodding around and getting me to do table gymnastics as baby kept bouncing around and turning sideways but now my stomach is quite sore and feels internally bruised. Should I be worried?

It’s quite normal. I have some belly fat and they always have to press quite hard for those scans where there is lots to be looked at. They explain when you are a little bigger size wise you may feel a bit sore or tender after due to having to press a bit harder. It’s just surface bruising x

@Rachel I’m quite slim lol especially after having HG. I’m 9 stone

Normal. Baby is under so many layers xx

But they probably pressed a little harder because bub was being a bit cheeky moving around lots so they were having to work harder to get measurements. Or it’s because you have so little fat you don’t have much there to protect from the pressure and therefore left you feeling sore. Either way from what I know it’s ok to be a bit tender. But please if you are worried message your midwife x
