26 weeks full pay is incredible 🙌
@Molly she gets 26 weeks FULL PAY and the remaining 13 weeks will be stat. That's an amazing package
@Rachel ohhhhh, yeah that’s insane to have full pay😩😩😩
I got 6 months full pay from my employer. Plus for the first 6 months once I returned to work I got paid for 5 days but only had to work 4 days, it was a phased return to work policy. So an amazing package in my eyes. It's not pharma though, it a financial services company.
26 weeks is INSANE! I wish my job gave me that 😂 I had 6 weeks full pay, then it dwindled from that haha! I can’t help with other pharma companies but honestly I’d stick there! I don’t see how you’d get much better than that!
I don’t know about pharma companies but I know at my place you don’t get the enhanced maternity unless there for at least 2 years so keep that in mind when looking. Also 26 weeks is great I got 3 months full then 3 months half.
@Katie where do you work and are they hiring? 🤣
26 weeks is very very good - I doubt you’ll find better then you’ll also have to consider that a lot of companies only offer their best ‘enhanced maternity policy’ after being with the company for a year or more
Thanks everyone! Career development wise there is no progression opportunities for me here. Recruitment is basically on hold BUT I know I am very lucky with regard to their maternity policy and I am happy with the company culture etc. It would be so helpful to have complete transparency on these policies at the point of job hunting.
You only get 26 weeks? It’s standard to usually be given 33 weeks, you usually get 6 weeks full pay based on your average work hours then the remaining 26 weeks you get the standard allowance of may pay which Is about £180 a week as that’s what I got and I’ve just finished my mat leave, and I worked in a basic retail sales job, but the standard allowance is 33 weeks so you might want to look into it x Well double checking, it’s actually 39 weeks I was given sorry, and the remaining 33 weeks I had standard mat pay, but the first 6 my mat leave was based off what I’d usually earn off my contracted hours, but most jobs now days should be 39 weeks in total as you get 9 months paid x
