I don't have the answer to this all I can tell you is, I've been trying to potty train my twin girls for 2 weeks now and we have not had 1 successful toilet on the potty! Just try to stay positive and keep going i suppose x
@Katie 😭 I’m on the verge of giving up and trying again in a month or so. I’ve got an 11 month old at home too so this feels pretty savage at the moment. One doesn’t sleep and one is weeing all over the floor 😭🫠
We started end of January & we're only accident free when I put her on the potty, if I wait for her to tell me she'll have a dribble in her pants already & need to be changed even if she wees on the potty. She won't stop what she's doing to go on her own yet. We were doing great yesterday, almost 2 days with no accidents then she didn't want to stop playing sleeping & weed in a big pile of cushions & blankets 🙈
@Shenel don’t give up! I know it’s rough, I hated potty training, especially when there’s this pressure for it to happen quickly when the reality is it usually doesn’t. I am so glad we came out the other side and persevered! X
@Shenel I've got an 18 month old as well as the twins I'm potty training so I feel your pain!! Try not to give up, I know it's flipping rough but you'll be pleased you stuck at it when it finally clicks fpr your little one xx
@Jade gosh twins is literally double the trouble 💩 🙈 super mum x
Thanks for the pep talk ladies, will push on through, we haven’t managed anything in the potty or toilet today, fingers crossed this all clicks for her soon, she’s a very clever girl, quite advanced for her age so I had expected this would be a lot easier 🙈 naivety on my part x
Is anyone dealing with refusal to sit on the toilet or potty? She’s fine in the morning but by the end of the day totally refusing to go on it, tonight we’ve had a full tantrum x
Same!!!!! 😭😭 one of the twins managed both a poo and a wee on the potty this morning but had a complete melt down afterwards because she wanted to do it in her nappy 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ th3n tonight they both just refused to even get on it!!!! Soooo frustrating!!! Xx
Dont give up! We took a month! But our method was slow and he never pooped in his pants and only had a few wee accidents It was 2 weeks of regularly taking him to the loo and still in nappy pants. Then we took pants off and took regularly for 1weekish and then he started saying and going himself
Sometimes yeah. Sometimes she'll pull her own pants & trousers down & sit because I asked her to & others I do have to force her.
It's taken a year for my boy. Sorry. It's such a longer process than the books lead you to believe in
@Sarah a year! I think I’ll have a breakdown by then 🫠 she’s making progress but the main issue is actually getting her to comply with potty visits tbh x
Took my son 2 days but i have friends who’s kids took a lot longer. It’s normal for them to have accidents
very normal My son took weeks x
