@Katie Yeah she mentioned about wanting to be preventing it and not treating it later on! I’ve started taking it and I am happy to, was just wondering if anyone would know why she had decided me high risk or whether it was just purely because of my Bmi. Thanks for your reply💕
Are you over 35? I have also got this prescribed yday for the first time, I think it’s an age thing now possibly. I’ll be on 150mg once daily until 36 weeks
I'm the same consultant led, mines due to 5 previous miscarriages and my age,I'm 37, they said I'm high dependency pregnancy so was started on 150mg aspirin untill 36 weeks, they also said ill be put on daily blood thinning injections at from 28 weeks untill 6 weeks after birth
@RD I’m 24 so not for me! Interesting xx
@Mellissa It’s good that they are taking preventive measures! Hope you’re feeling okay! Maybe i’m just on the cusp of meeting the criteria for it :) xx
@Charlotte thankyou, and luckily I am feeling ok,hope you are are aswel. Yes I think they are more cautious nowadays of any types of risks, they seems to put alot of people on aspirin these days so must be helpful in some way! xx
It is to do with BMI as that’s why I have to take it. Though I’ve yet to receive it!
I'm on it for having small babies
I’m on it for having a small baby (my first born was small but he has CF) not a fan but I’ll take it for baby❤️I think you can be prescribed it for a few different reasons but it’s all to help you and baby! Xx
I'm on it too and it's really nothing to worry about, it's better to try prevent pre-eclampsia if you're at a higher risk for it. I had pre-eclampsia in my last pregnancy, my baby had stopped growing so had to be brought a bit earlier so fingers crossed the aspirin will prevent that this time round fingers crossed 🤞🏻
