Rosalie hit the nail on the head. Those are our go-tos as well. We try to hike every other weekend. My daughter is almost 1.5 and she’ll get out of my carrier to walk or climb some of the stairs, but for the most part she’s pretty content chilling in the carrier. We don’t even use a special carrier. Just an ergobaby or lillebaby. It’s enjoyable and we can have conversations or we can just take in the views.
Zoo? Especially if your zoo has special events (like zoo lights). You could even do a membership and keep going. We started a zoo membership at 10 months and love bringing our now toddler. Even when we do have someone to watch our toddler and now newborn, we do miss afternoon things like escape for happy now since bedtime is a little harder to pass off to someone else till they are older.
Happy hour is a decent one! Walks around town, beach, nature walks.. I think the main thing that makes it a date is the intentionality.. planning ahead, someone picks what to do (rather than “idk what do you think”) and choosing to get excited like we used to for dates 🥰
We would take our little nugget bowling with us! He enjoyed the sounds and lights and excitement.
Oh we’re pros at this point 😂 If he sleeps well in the stroller or carrier, you literally could do anything besides clubbing or a movie. Dinner, brewery, brunch, hike, farmers market, museum…
