Any tips for to go bags for the hospital

I’ve been trying to make sure I get everything I can think of that I might need but I’d love some more suggestions or things you wished you would’ve brought

So far I got lots of different changes of clothes, a robe sweatpants shorts, tank top, and a T-shirt as well as slippers

Then water bottles pillows blankets fidgets, and things to distract me and then extender and things for phone
and I was wondering if I can bring lube and if I’m allowed to put it on for the birth. I think it might help I don’t know if that’s a thing you can do though

Seconding for the rechargeable little lamp!! The fluoro lights are awful and sometimes you just need a small soft light

I had a little battery/USB one. Absolutely saved me 😂
The epidural I had made me so hot.

Snacks, own tea/coffee and a shelf milk as the hot drinks aren’t the nicest & your own mug too!

I used adult incontinent products instead of period pads, it helped a lot and I found them much more comfortable 😊

Honestly I wish I had packed less stuff 😅 I had a whole suitcase of stuff and only used a few things in the end!
I stayed in the hospital gown until I left since it was easier for them to do their checks and stuff.
I only stayed one night so just waited to shower at home.
My hospital provided all the after birth stuff I needed so didn’t use my own.
I really only needed a going home outfit, phone charger, and hair tie/brush lol
Plus a few things for baby.

Here a list of what il be bringing to the hospital during my next birth. Some I brought with me and some I wish I had.

Night gown with buttons (easy to go to the bathroom, breastfeeding, and checkups)
Slippers
Warm socks
Blanket/Fan (depending on season and if you get cold or hot easily)
Towel/Toiletries/Shower shoes
Snacks/Drinks
Longer charger(the plug isn't usually too close to the bed)
Earphones
Word search/sudoku book or some hobby (to rest your eyes from constant screen viewing)

I forgot a shirt when I gave birth. So, I walked out of the hospital in my nursing gown, and a pair of jeans. I would Ask for more of the spray they provide. I regret not asking for more

Snacks! I literally didn't use anything else from my bag lol

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

Small bumps

I have a really small bump, at 27 weeks pregnant. People keep commenting on the fact my bump is so small and its starting to worry & get me down. Has anyone here had a small bump with a baby that weighed measured average size? Its really worrying me! I have a 30 week scan and one at 37 weeks because im on a moderate pathway - had a gastric sleeve in 2023 so its to check she is growing but as the comments are coming im now panicking where I wasnt before 😫

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself

28wk5days growth scan📈

I’ve just been to my first growth scan as my bump was measuring small, for the lady to say that baby should be between 2pound 2ounces - 2pound 5ounces and my baby is measuring 2pound 15ounces which is above average, any one else has similar measurements?x
