How can I style her hair?

Daughter is almost 2, biracial (black/white). I love her hair! It’s curly and finally starting to fill out (she was bald for so long!). I’d love to style it or add bows to it to make it more feminine as she can easily be called a boy by strangers. But I don’t know what to do or what to add. There are parts that are fairly long that I could braid but I’m nervous it could cause breakage. She just woke up in picture so we haven’t brushed it.

I wouldn’t worry about making her look more “feminine”. Her hair must look so gorgeous when it dries naturally. You could add some pig tails and secure them with pretty bows. Or do a few twists at the front (not braids) and secure with bows. But I think she would look so cute just show casing her natural curls.

@Amanda it is so cute! Honestly I’m not worried about her being misgendered haha but my MIL can be.

Doesnt have enough hair for styles. Id just keep ut clean, little bit of lightweight leave in and call it a day. Too much tension on this tiny amount of hair will just pull it out

@Gigi L that’s what I figured. It’s also pretty fine still. More like my texture (white) and my fiancé curls

Oh okay. I thought you were because I was thinking she’s still a babe and it’s common to misgender them anyway. My son has long hair and people keep telling me he looks like a girl. I’m like “oh well”. I can’t keep up with cutting his hair! We are due soon for a hair cut.

You could just put a hair band on her if you want to make her look more girly I was avoiding manipulating her hair and let it grow out
