I found having a smaller portion at dinner and then before bed having a bowl of cereal or something like yoghurt or cheese helps. But it still varies quite a lot 🫤 on waking our bodies give us a surge of glucose to get us up so it makes sense it would be higher!
Fasting levels aren’t diet related 😊 if all your other levels are normal then they should put you on Metformin to manage it. I ended up on insulin, took it before bed and my fasting levels stayed normal
How out of range are the levels? Trying having 15-30g protein before bed like another user mentioned. Either a Greek yogurt, peanut butter or cottage cheese. If it’s really high, insulin may be the quickest fix since the insulin resistance only worsens with gestational age. You got this!
Eat light so carrot sticks, cucumber, and hummus snacks. I found eating apples and peanut butter or some cheese 1-2 hours before bed has helped. But I've been doing this for a couple of weeks now and I got fed up so I asked to go on the tablets and my meals have become more varied which has been super helpful. I still get some reds, though
