Sorry this may be happening to you, it happened to me in my first pregnancy, I had a scan at 8 weeks and had a blighted ovum. How long are your cycles typically? Are they regular?
could of just been too early I had one around 5 weeks before with the same thing as you, went back a week or 2 later and was a baby with heartbeat x
This happened to me im now 25 weeks pregnant with a baby girl , it was probably just too early to see anything try not to worry 🩷
This happens in my second pregnancy I ovulated later then I would have. This was also with window to the womb. I think this is why they also say to not scan until 2 weeks after a positive pregnancy test. I wished I waited because then 2 weeks were the longest wait ever! But I was to eager. But 2 weeks came and I was about 8 weeks. I’m now 23 weeks pregnant was meant to be due around the 16th June and now I’m due the 28th. So I did ovulate late. Fingers crossed this has happened to you! Please report back to us 🩷xx
I'm in the same boat right now. My period was all messed up from breastfeeding and so I told my OB I had a positive test. I went in and there wasn't even a sac yet. I went back last week and there's a sac but no baby. She said I'm about 4.5-5 weeks based on its size. I go Thursday to double check since I might also have a SCH by the sac. So it sounds like your scan was just too early. Also happened with my daughter as well. We thought we were going in at almost 6.5 weeks and turned out I was only 5.5 weeks. Wishing you luck 🩷🩵
I had this too, I was too early. Waited for 2 more weeks and then they saw it xx
I only had a sac, I'm now 22 weeks pregnant x there's still hope
They told me I was 7 weeks based on first day of last period. I tried to tell them I don’t think so. They did ultrasound and said no baby it’s a miscarriage. Tried to tell them I don’t think so. I was 4 weeks no baby. After a couple weeks there was a sack but couldn’t see baby just yet. At 7 weeks I finally got to see baby.
Thank you all for sharing your stories, it means a lot and has made me feel better. I think I might have been 4-5 weeks when I went in. The more I think about, I can't believe the sonographer has basically told me my pregnancy is likely that it's not progressing. That is dangerous to say to people when he truly doesn't know. They should be more careful around early pregnancy scans
@Emily exactly what I was told. I was only about 4 weeks, they shouldn’t say it unless they know 100%. I do hope that it does progress, I know how you feel at the moment, I felt the same but there’s still hope x
This happened with my second pregnancy, I was told they could only see the yolk sac. I didn’t know what this meant, and in my experience, that pregnancy didn’t progress. I have heard many stories of pregnancies still progressing and it being too early. Either way, your anxiety is valid. Try and not to dive down rabbit holes in the next 2 weeks. Hoping you get the best news at your next sono. 🤍
