I've got an older version and used it from newborn with no problems.
We've got it and it's great, used from newborn
I have it and I didn’t use it from newborn mainly because I found an infant carrier more useful if baby fell asleep in the car and I could lift him inside before waking him up to feed or if I was just popping to the shop and he could stay asleep I found it useful until he was about 9 months and then was a bit heavy to lift in and out
I've read the same, that it doesn't give a safe fit for newborns. You can either return it and swap for an infant carrier, get an infant carrier to use at first and then switch to the i-Spin, or cross your fingers and check baby's fit in the seat when they're born. They're particularly unlikely to get a good fit if they're on the smaller side. For a good fit you're looking for: Straps coming out at shoulder height or just below Head well-supported so that baby isn't chin to chest (this can be dangerous as it blocks baby's airway) The problem for asking for others' opinions is that a lot of people don't know how to check that baby is fitted safely in a car seat, so they could say it was fine for them when in fact their baby didn't have a safe fit. Which is all well and good in most cases because obviously most people are lucky enough not to be in a car accident, but ultimately a car seat is a safety device and you want little one to be kept safe if you were to be in an accident
Yep! We have this and it was the best purchase we made on a baby related item. We originally had the car seat that came with the buggy and our LO absolutely despised going in the car! We switched to this one pretty early on (within a few weeks) and we haven’t had a problem with car travel since. She was still classified as a newborn when we switched and it worked perfectly :)
