Access Fertility Withdrawal

Hi everyone, I am paying for IVF through Access Fertility - a 2 cycle package - and have had one egg collection, and didn’t end up with very good embryos. This was our 4th collection, and I’m not sure I want to do another egg collection, and so am considering withdrawing from Access Fertility before I’ve finished what we paid for. I wondered if anyone else has done this, and if so did you get a refund, and how much was it?

As far as I’m aware you won’t get anything back for just doing one cycle, but would be interested to hear if you are successful with getting a refund!

It depends if you went for the 2 cycle package on the refund option or the multi cycle option. If the refund package then yes probably but if not then I doubt it very much. No harm in asking though.

I called them, and they said they would give me a refund, but it’s dependent upon how much of the package we’ve used, and they can’t estimate without going through their finance team. We didn’t buy a refund package.

@Jen I believe you do get something but the higher percentage is front loaded usually. What are you planning to do instead Jen? Freestyle? X

Hey @yog, yeah I think it’s front loaded too, but it we got a few thousand back I’d put it towards a donor egg cycle, as our final attempt

@Jen i so hope you do! Did they get back to you? How liberating to have another plan. There is hope. Egg donation is such a blessing to so many. Have you read much about it? My friend went ahead and it’s a fascinating topic. She had to research uk law just to hint as it works differently in different countries. x
