Packing Bags

When did you all start packing your hospital bags? What did you bring for you and what did you bring for baby? I’m only 25 weeks but feel the need to get them packed asap after just watching 3 people have their babies around 32 - 28 weeks.

I’ve had my bag half packed since 24wks, there is no harm in having it ready. Especially given the fact that going into labour early is something no one sees coming. I’m currently 28wks

I think you can pack them now but I would suggest to make a list what you put and what you still Need to put there (maybe some things will be to be taken last minute) otherwise you will forget what’s in there until you really go to the hospital

Go ahead and get started - one less thing for you to think about and you may lack energy later on in pregnancy. By this point, I had my packing list on my phone - separating out things for me vs things for baby. I used a small roller carryon and a small duffle to get it altogether. I was there 4 days - make sure to take advantage of the help in hospital while you are there! Lactation consultant, e nursery for much needed sleep at night and I highly recommend staying as long as you can. I recommend - flat sheet, blanket, and pillow (you’ll want a comfy bed), a portable fan (momcozy is a great one), snacks, a tablet/book, a robe, cozy slippers, and some keepsakes for newborn pictures.

I started around 27weeks, plan to finish off this week

I had a planned c section at 37 weeks. We prepped most everything at 36 weeks and then finished packing the night before. I’ll be honest, we used practically nothing that we packed (granted I did not have any pre birth items as it wasn’t necessary for me). Post birth I would have been completely fine only having a robe, socks, toiletries, phone charger, and an outfit to go home in. We had a baby book page for footprints but kept that with a folder of all my operative instructions. Hospital provides the majority of what you need

Pack it now! I had mine at 34+5 and didn’t have a thing 🤣🤣

not until like 38/39 weeks lol. the basic were clothes for myself and baby, a few toiletries, pillow and blanket, snacks, phone chargers, baby blankets, portable fan, nipple cream, nursing bra, breast pads

Literally the only things I used from my bag were my toothbrush, pajamas, and my 10ft phone charger lol. My hospital provided a ton though

35 weeks. I only recommend doing it sooner because third trimester fatigue is REAL.

Pack baby clothes. Hygiene essentials. Comfy clothes for u. And maybe some snacks for after so that u have something on standby. DONT bring baby shit. They have it all there (make sure to take as much as u can too). Also if u don’t have like a lil newborn photoshoot planned some hospitals will do a photoshoot with ur baby so u can bring cute clothes if u wanna do that. I didn’t buy them but they still took pics for me and they were the cutest pictures

I was supposed to pack mine and literally the day I was gon pack it on Christmas, my water broke at 1am so I had nothing lol
