Child maintenance/support

My baby daddy and I are not In a relationship and I just found out I’m pregnant. He says he doesn’t want more children because he already has 2 complicated baby mamas however hel respect and support the child by giving me 130 pounds pm. He says that’s what he can afford cause he pays for 2 other. He says I must just not involve the government because I might end up getting less from him. I’m not sure if I trust him because he works well according to me but I’m new in the UK and don’t know laws her . I plan to go back to south africa and still that 130 just seems way too small for me and he keeps insisting I would need to go back cause it’s cheaper and easier. I know il struggle financially already and think maybe I should terminate 😭. But I’ve wanted a child for a long time I don’t know what to do

Do what you feel is right for you and don’t trust him if he already has two baby moms he claims are complicated.

This is a tough choice I think most governments have an estimator of how much you would get if you know his income I’m not sure how accurate these are. Think through any decisions carefully to make sure it’s right for you. Wishing you the best.

I’ve had a private payment set up with my bd and didn’t feel that it was enough so I put a claim in. As he wasn’t working at all last year it came back as a lot less than what I was already getting, so when they called to say this, I was able to cancel the claim

@Jess when you cancelled it. Did your ex continue the private agreement ?
