@Sam I will do thanks. TikTok is more for the things you don’t think about such as hand held fans, snacks etc
I think it depends how far you are from your chosen hospital as well, I'm a 15 minute drive from mine so if I'm missing anything then my husband can pop home if needs be. Plus there's a Costa and snack machines if I get desperate!
Hospital always provides towels! I think people just like to bring their own but you really don’t have to they have plenty of towels
I personally took my own towels when I had my 19 month old nowt like the smell of your own washing detergent x
My hospital gave me a towel but it was the size of a flannel 🙈😂
The hospital gave me a towel but it was really small and scratchy. I still wouldn’t bother taking my own because you just end up with loads of stuff but I can see why people do take their own x
I took a towel with me with my wee boy but the hospital said I wouldn’t have had to as they can provide one but I preferred to take my own for comfort x
Hospitals do provide towels but they're absolutely teeny and usually not the best quality. I would personally take a towel of my own if you can fit it into your bag..
You could always take your own towel but leave it in the car and then send your birthing partner out to get it for you when you actually need it to save you from lugging round extra bags xx
Towel might be useful to get home, if you have a natural birth as the swelling afterwards can be insane, and sitting very uncomfortable. Towel can be used as a doughnut pillow if you don’t have one.
NHS have got a list of what they recommend you pack online, I'd look at that rather than tik tok and also ask any one you personally know who has had a baby near you lately and what they actually needed
