Toddler Studdering

My son just started studdering while he talks for 2 weeks now. Is this normal or should I taken him to see someone?

I would bring up the stuttering to his pediatrician and see if speech therapy is recommended

My son went through a stutter stage around the age your son is. I wouldn't worry, but if it persists, then bring it up to your ped

Thank you!

Stutters DO happen while they are figuring out how to move their mouths while they learn how to speak but it’s definitely important to let your pediatrician know so they can help track it and refer you to a specialist like an SLP if needed. Couldn’t hurt to start now even if it’s temporary! I’d think that a toddler could REALLY blossom with that type of one on one speech therapy, right?

My almost 4-year-old still stutters while trying to tell a story too fast! Definitely something to bring up with the doctor, but I wouldn’t worry too much ❤️

My 6 year old still stutters, I still stutter - it happens learning to talk and sometimes just getting stumbled in our words. It’s also more common if they are learning more then one language

See what the doctors say

It could be either or just keep an eye on it my daughter went through a phase eventually I found out she was mimicking Daniel the Tiger characters once I figured out what it was I took it out of her watchlist in a week or two it was done
