Feel like the only one…

I’m due on 25 May so I’m only 28 weeks right now. I had my midwife appointment yesterday and came out with the following diagnosed: • Gestational Diabetes • Low iron levels • Pelvic girdle pain (due to baby being breech right now) • Leukocytes level 4 in my urine As you can probably guess I cried the whole way home… This is all after a 3 day hospital stay in February as I collapsed twice at home. Ended up having: 2 ECG’s, 1 24 hour ECG, ultrasound on baby, ultrasound of my heart, chest x-ray, radioactive scan to check my lungs for clots and a million blood tests. I’m honestly just exhausted from it all. My previous pregnancy did not feel this complicated in comparison(some additional growth scans resulting in an induction). Please tell me I’m not the only one. I feel like my diary is full of appointments at the minute and I’m completely overwhelmed.

You aren’t alone! I went through the same thing in January (minus the GD). It feels like ALOT but you’ve got this 🥰 I’ve had seizures and collapses and now my body goes from borderline pre-eclampsia BP to ridiculously low (80/53), so i feel your pain with the appointments some weeks it feels as if I live at the hospital. Those last 12 weeks will go so quickly lovely and all this will be a memory xx

My last pregnancy (baby is almost 3wks) was rough. Told she was smaller. Told she was fine. Suffered severe gastro that lead to a routine app that ended in an ambulance being called/ecg/code blue and a week hospitalisation that lead to me getting a blood clot from an IV. Planned induction at 38+6 which was the best experience out of all 3 births but now pp I’m suffering hypertension and more blood clots incl a 13cm one in my leg. Low iron, low vit D, low thyroid. Side note baby is absolutely thriving but I’m exhausted with having 3 kids aged 2 and under by myself. So no you’re definitely not alone but you’re strong and you will get through this ❤️ hoping the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly x

I'm due 22nd May and also had my 28 week midwife appointment yesterday and came out with tons too, very low iron, had an iron infusion all afternoon, antibiotics for Group B Strep, 3+ leukocytes etc, always at appointments and spent ages trying to get my brain around them all and write them in the calendar to make sense of it, and partner needs a lot of time off work to look after our toddler, but as someone above said, it's not long now, keep your head up 🥰❤️

I’m 29 weeks and I had my midwife appointment yesterday as well, which also came out with loads. I was 7.7 from my GTT & 7.8 is gestational diabetes so I’ve been told I need to completely change my diet. My baby is only on the 14th centile & was on 95th centile for umbilical artery so that has to be rechecked in just over a weeks time & I have ecoli in my urinsry tract. This is my third baby & I still cried all the way home from my appointment & can’t stop thinking about all the negatives xx

Some things I forgot to mention that really helped me: - positive affirmations and taking time to just focus on the here/now - writing down any questions/concerns/thoughts in my phone to bring up at the next appointment - making sure you’re informed None of these things are your fault ladies ❤️
