For those who are low income / looking for a job

How did you go about paying for childcare? I don't have any family members able to watch my son. I need to go back to work again, I can't find a WFH job that suits me.

I take out half the cost of daycare from each paycheck. That way I still have some money for food and bills each paycheck. I also work 2 jobs. Lucky that my daycare has subsidised pay so it's cheaper than private daycare. Though my son was 2 when he finally got a spot.

If you logged onto the my Bridges app at the bottom, there is a link that says financial assistance for parent or childcare apply for that. There’s also a free summer EBT program available to everyone so necessary but just click on it to make sure it gives you 120 per kid per month for the whole summer.

@Ashley Lawson what is this my bridges app? I know my daughter recieved a good stamp card for the summer last year...i thought it was something through the school district, but i wonder if it's actually the same as this thing? My son never recieved it, though...

I just also seen that you need some assistance with childcare while you work. They also have a program for that where they will give you money to pay for it apply for that as well.

@Ashley Lawson awesome!
