Toddler not eating

My toddler is like not wanting to eat anything other than snacks(sometimes not even). He will sit down for the meals but take bites and spit it out. Anyone else’s toddler doing this? I feel like I remember this being a phase with my oldest but this mama is going nuts 😭

Toddlers can live on 5 goldfish and air 😂 Some days he's a good eater, some days he only eats snacks 🤷‍♀️ He will always eat Mac and cheese, so I make different versions of cheese + pasta a lot.

@Cara I’m like going nuts!!!!!!! Some days I can get him to eat bites of his breakfast, lunch and dinner and other days(like today)he literally ate no breakfast… 2 literal handfuls of pasta for lunch and a pouch for dinner 🙃🤣 I can’t win for losing

Girl, same! We spent a long time in that phase and are SLOWLY getting out of it now. Although she's starting to eat more foods, she also does a lot of chewing it up and spitting it out. But like Cara said... a couple of goldfish, 3 fruit snacks and good vibes are somehow enough for their growing bodies 😂 just know you're not alone!

@Megan I’m so glad, this makes me feel so much better 😭💛 I told my husband as long as he eats something… it’s okay but he needs to eat 🤣🤣🤣

@Cara what are some cheese and pasta recipes you do!? My daughter loves mac n cheese but I can't seem to find a good homemade mac n cheese and I don't like the store bought.

@Kendyl https://www.howsweeteats.com/2021/10/ricotta-pasta/ this is one I made most recently and he liked it a lot. I also added peas and carrots. I freeze leftovers in small portions for easy lunches. https://www.theslowroasteditalian.com/five-cheese-ziti-al-forno/ This one is my husband's fave. I use the recipe from delish.com, but it might be pay walled. This recipe is similar, but there are other recipes that use jarred Alfredo. Whatever is easiest for you! This recipe is super rich and greasy though, so you need salad with it for sure. And for when I'm very lazy and have nothing in the freezer, (plus it uses minimal ingredients!) https://www.seriouseats.com/ingredient-stovetop-mac-and-cheese-recipe

We are in the same boat, he does not sit still for his meals and he keeps his lips closed when i try to feed him!!
