I slept propped up for the first week or so which helped with getting out of bed. I also made sure I always had some form of pain relief in my system so plan your medication to overlap. I was walking everyday so try to have a walk even just around the house.
@Ellen thank you!! Congratulations to you too 🥰
@Hannah thank you, that’s really helpful! X
Keep on top of your meds, ask for a stool softener if you need one as the meds sometimes bung you up! My main advice is enjoy it. I loved my c section birth. It was planned, relaxed and the staff were incredible x
I just had an emergency c section 12 days ago due to a breech baby who decided to make an appearance 5 weeks early! The first few days are hard with moving around and trying to get out of bed etc. but as long as you keep on top of pain killers you start to find that day by day it becomes easier. I’m going for short walks now, able to lift and twist with baby without much pain - just taking Drs advice and not doing any heavy lifting and resting as much as possible to make sure I heal quickly. Good luck and congratulations for tomorrow! 😊x
