Joolz Aer + but beware lots of the budget airlines easyJet included don’t allow any strollers in the cabin now especially during the peak summer months x
@Yasmin not heard this I’ve booked my large cabin bag so I can take it on.. surely if I’ve paid they can’t deny you x
@Elena if you’ve paid specifically you may be okay but it happens regularly now. It’s the same for bags if the cabin is full they just put into the hold. The smaller planes don’t actually have the room for everyone to bring cabin luggage (I used to be crew). I think where they’ve become so popular airlines just don’t have the space in the cabin for all of them plus bags and obviously you don’t need the pram on the flight so they seem to be the thing they target. We always take the travel bag and something to pad it out with as a backup plan so it doesn’t get destroyed x
@Yasmin I get that but I’m a single mum so I can’t physically carry his bag my bag and him and walk the full length of Gatwick to get back to passport control 😂 I literally wouldn’t be able to do it alone! I will be fuming if they take the pram off me at the gate when I’ve paid a lot of money to take it on with me!! X
Silver cross clic. But I do second what Yasmin said, a lot don’t let them on even when you are allowed. I’m crew for TUI and had to check my clic into the hold a few days ago even though I knew I was 100% allowed it, so definitely recommend getting the travel bag for it too x
@Elena baby wearing is a godsend for this! Even easier than the pram x
@Yasmin yeah I don’t like baby wearing never have since he was born! He’s also 2 stone at 10 months and we’ve got another month till we travel for him to gain even more x
@Elena where are you flying from/ to? Some airports allow strollers back on the tarmac but lots don’t and so I’d go armed with a back up plan if the stroller is put into the hold to make the experience a lot less stressful for yourself especially if you’re travelling alone x
@Yasmin when I land in Zante I will get it on the tarmac but gatwick don’t it happened last year but luckily I was with my dad and mum and he was only 4 months then! X
My two year old still fits in our kinderkraft siesta but it’s an umberella fold so it’s not cabin approved, we just hand it over when we board x
Agree with Yasmin last 4 flights I’ve been on all strollers requested in the hold unfortunately. I think it depends how busy the flight is x
@Megan surely if you’ve paid for it you can contest this though.. or complain and get a refund? I’m not paying for nothing.. and surely seeing a solo traveller with a young child multiple bags etc they would have some kind of compassion x
@Elena we flew easyJet and tui recently and that’s what happened with both airlines on flight there and on the way back. I’ve been on flights where cabin cases have been asked to go in the hold too though not just strollers, not sure what’s happens regarding a refund though. Maybe just give them a call and ask what happens in that situation? x
@Megan yeah was just wondering because that’s the whole point of me paying to have it with me cos i physically cannot carry him his bag and my bag x
Silver cross clic x
