Feeding and going back to work

Planning to go back to work when baby is 1 year. But want to continue breastfeeding ideally until he is 2. The problem is I work 12 hour shifts? (Gone for more like 14/15 hours) Has anyone else gone back to work still feeding while doing 12 hour shifts? How do you manage? I struggle to pump because I can't trigger a let down.

I haven’t done it yet but I asked the same question to some friends of mine that ebf their babies until almost 2y. What they said is that at the point the baby is 1y old the milk feeds are drastically reduced since they’ll get most nutrition from solids. So it’s sufficient to breastfeed your baby morning and afternoon/evening before bed.

A great workshop on this topic https://www.instagram.com/p/DGsXAovN_mp/?igsh=cTZ2YW5xaGswNTZj

I work 10 hour shifts plus 2 hours commuting but work unsociable hours so my LO often goes 14/15 hours without a feed because of the times I leave he’s often still asleep. He was absolutely fine when I went back to work at 12 months. Bedtimes/ nights were difficult for the first few weeks but quickly settled. He’s 16 months old and is fine without milk when I’m not there and feeds like a newborn when I am. Happy to answer any specific questions/ worries you might have x
