I second the first comment-making sure youre getting enough vitamins and minerals is your best bet. Ive also heard good things about botana oil but never personally tried it.
I had bad hair loss as well. Definitely continue your prenatal vitamins or switch to postnatal vitamins (not much difference really) The other thing that helped me was using flax seed gel once a week. I used this video to make it, put it in a clean ketchup bottle and stored it in the fridge. I had shoulder length hair so it was enough for 2 weeks. I let it sit on my fair for an hour under a bag with a towel on top. The heat from you head helps open up your pores. After about 2 weeks I started to notice thicker hair and less fall out.
I lost a lot of hair postpartum too! Especially my edges were completely gone. I know it’s tough right now but it will come back ! Definitely continue to use your vitamins. Your body goes through a lot postpartum but hang in there mama ! 💪🏾
Yes I’m in the same boat probably losing at least what you’ve shown here if not more my edges are all but gone 🙈 it happened in my first pregnancy but not my second and now again on my third, on my second I lost my tooth and got a gap in between my front teeth! Pregnancy and birth is no joke!!!!
@Kasapo I'm definitely contemplating on cutting my hair. Yup, I'm still taking my prenatals. My doc said for me to take them till I stop breastfeeding.
@Rachel oh my! I've definitely lost so much hair on my edges. I didn't lose any hair my first pregnancy but this second one, losing so much hair, having so much aches and pains.
@Sarah definitely would like to try this.
Yep, I definitely had that much hair loss too! I started in Dec and seriously thought I would be bald by Jan. It’s much less hair loss now. Dr just recommended vitamins and eating healthy
I’ve had 3 babies and my hair has always been horrible after each baby, my hair was soo thin you could see my scalp. But after months of using hair oil and proper shampoo & conditioner it’s grown back
@Sammi 💖 what kind of hair oil and shampoo did you use?
My smartasss decided to put braids in three months postpartum and is paying for it now with my edges 😭😭😭
@Rita ouch and all that tugging it's doing to your hair.
I lost a lot of hair post partum as well. I ended up cutting it off and starting over. Have you continued to take your prenatals? I learned late that you should continue your prenatal vitamins post partum, it helps with hair loss. I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s tough.
