What cough medicine did you use when sick & was your baby okay? Or, what cough medicine do you know is safe for pregnancy?

I caved and bought robitussin without asking my ob because I'm desperate. Just check the active ingredients - they can only be Dextromethorphan with or without Guaifenesin (decongestant)
I did ask my doctor and she said most otc ones are fine but she never specified. I’m probably just gonna deal with my cough, I’m too wary to use anything :/ I’m already on a Zpack
I just went through having a cold last week and used Tylenol Cold and Flu along with guaifenesin tablets. Both are on the approved list of medications that my OB gave me. I hope you feel better!
Robitussin DM or musinex DM is considered generally safe during pregnancy but you should ALWAYS ask a doctor first before the internet :)
