Rolling

My baby can now roll back to front, but can’t get back on his back once he’s on his front. In the night I sometimes find him lying on his front, asleep with his face down and it scares me so I roll him back onto his back but this wakes him up! What shall I do?

I’ve read another post on this and not that I’ve experienced this yet, but from what I remember on that post the hv just told her to keep putting him back on his back. As long as you have a breathable mattress it should be ok. Obviously it’s not recommend using any bolsters to keep them on their front, but that’s for you to decide! I think that’s why baby mattress’ are breathable is for this reason. Very stressful though, I’m not looking forward to this point!

Thanks so much! I’ll keep rolling him back. When I wake up and see him on his front it’s such a panic wondering how long he’s been like it for!

The NHS advice is to roll them back until they can comfortably roll both ways. My little boy is crawling and standing and I still hate waking up to find him on his tummy!

Thank you!
