Weaning off breast milk?!

My baby doesn’t need so much milk in the day now but if i don’t feed her my boobs are hurting and full - I don’t really understand how we wean off? Does anyone know? I have no idea how much she drinks so don’t know how to just cut down? Thank you!

Milk is still the main source of nutrients until 1 (I know it’s not far away but still). Timings should be increasing if baby is older my 11 month old can do nearly 5 hours between feeding, with correct solid meal intervals

I'm not too sure myself, and im due back at work in 4 weeks 🙈 Usually, when they eat more, they stop drinking so much milk naturally so I think I'm going to try and introduce cows' milk in the day with some snacks when she reaches 12 months. I've just started putting cows' milk on weetabix every other day, and she seems to be ok with it. I might have to pump at 10:30 and 2:30, which is when she usually has milk, but I'm unsure how it will go as we have a few weeks to go yet and this is my first baby. I have a hakka silicone pump, which is good for helping to relieve the fullness, though. It helped me when i started weaning :)

The time has increased between feeds but I just don’t get how to cut out totally (when the time comes!) - she won’t take a bottle either. She eats sooo much food in the day I can naturally start dropping somewhere but then my boobs explode! If I pump it’ll keep the milk production going no? Might try relieving the fullness like you say, rather than draining 😂
