Where are they spending under 500 at???

Family of 3 in England spending around £100 a week on food if not slightly more if you include things like nappies, milk, cleaning products and the dogs food too

Sooooo much 😭

@Jade probably nowhere haha

@Jade probably British people skewing the results!

@Jade they could be a family of 2 adults and toddlers. This could certainly make groceries cheaper vs a family that has 2 adults and teenagers. And grocery store prices vary if the individual buys brand name items. And cooking meals that stretch. I spend slightly over $550 a month to feed my family of 4. I went from “whole foods” to “Kroger” and now “Lidl”. And boy do I love the prices at Lidl and the food still tastes good (in my opinion).

$600 a month usually here in PA

£387 (500 dollars) a week on groceries (just converted it) is madness. I thought US was cheap!

@S. annalese that’s very interesting my toddler must be a bottomless pit… he eats more than me some days. We shop Whole Foods, natural grocers and Walmart… I get stamps but it’s literally a little over 500 and my fiance still spends another 500 … I cook from scratch to thinking we are saving 😭

But I’m grateful to not be in some places. When visiting Washington a pack of Mary’s chicken was $20 for 2 breasts compared to here in Oklahoma it varies from $9-13 and that’s the same brand

We spend about $120 a week on food: we do Harris Teeter delivery, there is no delivery fee, coupons stack in the app, they do not accept tips and it is always $20-$30 off if you spend $100. Two adults and a toddler. We live 20 minutes from DC

@Candice wow, that’s impressive. I have no idea what Harris Teeter is

Family of 3 about to be 4 in SoCal and I spend under $1000 for sure but it’s not always under $500

@Kate American groceries are so expensive I saw someone say they spent $14 on a crate of eggs I can’t remember how many eggs but it wasn’t a lot 😭

@Cerys i just did that. 13.99 for a dozen 😔

@Cerys over £10 for eggs??

Lorddd 😭😭😭

In the UK food (and alcohol) is cheap In Australia it's expensive. I spend about $300 on food a week (including household stuff like toiletries, no nappies). So about $1200 a month.

Around 3k

Probably like $1k for us and we eat meat family of 3:2 adults and 1 toddler and my lo is going through a growth spurt and doesn’t always eat well at daycare…but this time I got a deep freezer so I think we will save money this time
