Combo Feeding

hey mamas my baby is breast-fed and bottle fed with formula and breastmilk. I was wondering if it’s ok for baby to have a formula bottle now and the next one be breast milk and so forth ? Thanks

Just be careful with keeping up your supply and not going too long emptying your breasts!

Yep. It's totally okay. As they said, remember to keep pumping and don't skip. With my first I sometimes combined (since I didn't pump enough) but sometimes combined multiple pumps to make one bottle of breast milk. This time around we are doing the pitcher method and if we run out at some point we switch to formula. And if there's extra, I freeze it. It's a lot less stressful this way

I combo feed and we go back to back with no issues.

Yes, it’s totally fine to alternate breast milk and formula if baby is used to combo feeding.

No issues, my baby gets mostly breast milk in the morning and formula at night.

I have noticed baby went from Multiple poop diapers to One a day and it went from Mustard color to green Idk

@Rose they generally start to go to one diaper a day or even longer between at this age. My little one is 1 a day to every 3 days at this point. Green poop is also normal. We saw that when giving iron fortified formula.
