Wow thats amazing. Cry out method i cringe but i keep hearing it works best.
I completely understand why people would be against it. I just heard it was the fastest method to get results from so we thought we'd give it a try. That was 6m ago and sleep is going amazingly.
We did quick checks at set intervals like Ferber. It took about 3-4 days. We started at 8 months with my second and at 6 months with my first and now they both sleep through the night.
I have not sleep trained. I don't intend to. My baby also started to hate her crib at 6 months. I also did cosleeping for a month or 2 but it got to where I was sleeping very uncomfortably and lots of aches and pains. We moved back into her room. But this time took the front part of her crib off and dropped the mattress to the ground. So like a floor bed. Then I sleep on a twin mattress next to her. She's making up to feed less now. I started night weaning last month. We're down to zero bottles most nights. But she would most likely still wake up and need soothing once a night. Usually after 6 hours. So not bad. You don't have to sleep train. If you have the patience, they say they eventually figure it out. I'm looking forward to the day I completely move out of her room. But for now, I enjoy being needed. Because it is only a phase. She's already grown up so much.
We sleep trained at 4m. We did the 'cry it out' method, which I know isn't for everyone. Baby is 10m old tomorrow and still sleeps through 7:30pm-6:30am. It took 4 nights all together and the longest he cried for was 17 minutes
