I've given my 2.5 year old every vaccine that his pediatrician schedules for us, except the flu shot. Ive never liked the flu shot I feel like its redundant. But I would not skip the MMR personally 🫠😬 Especially with the measles going thru Texas. It's brutal for the littles 😞
None are safe. They are filled with toxic chemicals and heavy metals. Measles is treatable with vitamin A. We have tons of outbreaks of the measles every year but the news for some reason is trying to scare parents right now.
Any vaccine my doctor recommends is what I’m considering safe. I’m in Texas where we are having MMR outbreaks. That should not be happening; please vaccinate your children to protect them from eradicated diseases.
@Haley are you a doctor? What research do you have showing you can treat measles this way? It’s reckless to one’s health to recommend treatments when you aren’t a doctor.
I have not given my 8 month old any vaccines as I choose not to have her injected with poison. It is your choice as a parent if you choose to vaccinate your child, don't let anyone bully or pressure you.
https://www.earthbasedmedicine.com/blog/2015/1/23/why-im-not-afraid-of-measles -1994 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)- This study showed that 11% of vaccinated children had asthma and developed pertussis, as compared to 0.08% of unvaccinated children. -1998 JAMA - 98% of children with pertussis were vaccinated for the disease in the study. -1989 Morbidity and Mortality Report - Discovered that pertussis outbreaks occurred in 100% vaccinated populations. -2000 Danish Study - The increase in pertussis incidence is higher amongst vaccinated populations than it is non-vaccinated populations of all ages -1988 JAMA - There is substantial under reporting of pertussis in the United States. Pertussis occurs at a far greater rate now than before the introduction of the vaccine.
@Jess thank you so much!! I’m such a medical study reader lol. No one ever sends stuff back so I really appreciate this. Always down to further educate myself!
@Jess do you know of any current journals? All of the ones you gave me were super outdated. I just know it’s better to have even more updated info if we are talking about medical research.
Don’t wait on the MMR please. The measles is spreading rampantly in the us right now and I can assure you the side effects from getting the measles are worse than the minute possibility of having one from the vaccine. I’ve seen way too many brush it off cuz they “knew someone who was fine” or “it’s just a rash”. It can make your child blind and there’s other permanent things that can happen if they get sick with it. And please do not listen to people saying measles is treatable with vitamin A. That is not true. The American Pediatrician Association had to put out a statement about it. This is not fear mongering. It’s just reality. Vitamin A can help ease symptoms if they get infected but it cannot treat or prevent it.
@Mikayla thank you for your comment. I truly don’t understand people not wanting to vaccinate, especially for measles. I think people don’t know how to sort through fact and fiction when trying to make medical decisions, but I’m glad my child’s pediatrician went to over a decades worth of schooling to help me make an educated choice.
I also see people saying vitamin A has been used for a long time to treat things, well arsenic and mercury were also well known treatments for many things.
@Kat it’s because of actual fear mongering. They’re told there’s ingredients in there that aren’t safe and just blindly listen to it or they believe it can cause autism even tho it’s been debunked that autism is caused by vaccines. It’s genetic. I could understand people not wanting a new vaccine. That’s reasonable. But the MMR has been around for decades.
@Mikayla it’s the same with politics. Ugh! I hate that false info is even allowed to be out there. If everyone vaccinated as directed, would we have a measles outbreak currently in our state?
@Arisa I’m confused on the point you’re trying to make? I don’t see any comments on here personally attacking anyone’s character. You’re making a lot definitive claims without any evidence to back up what you’re saying. And by saying you see some “good women” posting about not selling themselves out, you’re implying that the mothers and women who choose to vaccine are “bad women”. No one’s tone was hostile, at least how I read it in my head, until I read your comment.

@Arisa this isn’t about Covid. And the MMR has been proven since measles was eradicated in the US until people stopped getting the MMR. That’s literally right in front of everyone. And the post is incognito so idk who you’re talking to all sideways about “already had your opinions”. And yes. It’s fear mongering to speak against a vaccine that has been proven to be safe and effective. This isn’t about social acceptance.
everyone thinks everyone else is fear mongering. everyone thinks everyone else is lying based on their own "research." the fact is that these conversations will never change a closed mind. I don't see the point of them. same thing with the abortion debate. arguing about it on socials won't change anything, the only time something might change is if you have a first hand experience with it.
@Arisa this was a lot more clear on the point you’re trying to make. Thank you! I definitely hear you. As someone mentioned, the measles vaccine is one of the ones that have been around for a very long time and with that, I think the benefits outweigh the risks. That’s not to go for every new vaccine they create and try to throw at us, but I think the measles vaccine is something to advocate for, for my child. I know that’s my stance and my opinion and I will respect yours 💕
@Arisa we already know food and vitamins does nothing for the measles. Like please stop 🤦🏻♀️
@Arisa sorry but I don’t agree that that the women warning against a safe and proven effective vaccine are good. It’s negligent actually and why there’s a problem to begin with. The discussion is measles. Measles used to be eradicated in the US until people stopped getting the vaccine for it. We know that. That’s just an objective fact. So yes it if fear mongering to speak against it and that needs to be quashed because this is children’s lives being put unnecessarily at stake.
@Mikayla But "safe and effective" is absolutely a fluid term. Saying, "I trust my doctor because they are the expert" is an easy way out of doing the hard work. "The experts" used to spray children with DDT, prescribe Heroin tablets as cough medicine, and encourage pregnant women to smoke, for peke's sake - thank goodness someone questioned settled "science". Isn't it worth a discussion, at least? Like an adult discussion knowing that all of us at the core want what's best for our children and society as a whole?
@Jess okay but that’s not the same as us being able to have actual data showing measles was non existent in the us 20 yrs ago when everyone was getting the vaccine.
Records prove that death rates from polio, pertussis, whooping, cough, and measels were decreasing on their own before the vaccine was introduced. Previous records were altered to demonstrate the decrease was due to vaccines. All of the JAMA studies I cited earlier indicate the vaccinated population itself being a conductor of the illness, which itself had been seen as a rite of passage in history, nothing more than a chickenpox style rash. Of course there are complications, as there are with literally anything else in life. The correlation of febrile seizures in the MMR vaccine are also a complication. Measles is nothing more than an immune system exhibiting symptoms of low levels of vitamins A and C. The discomfort of the rash itself is easily eased through various non-toxic remedies. Getting the measles and allowing the body to fight and produce antibodies to the virus provides lifelong immunity, something that not even the MMR vaccine can claim to offer.

@Arisa thank you!! I love that I have a new topic to look into today 🤣 It be boring like that sometimes during the day
At the core of it, I'm not anti-vax. I'm anti-all the other crap they add to the jabs.
I'm in Texas, where there have been measles outbreaks happening, so I am not taking any chances in delaying the MMR.
