Birth control

I’m 10 weeks postpartum and havent had my first period yet. My husband and I had intimacy 2 days ago but I am worried I might get pregnant this early. I had C section so it will be risky. I googled and it says it is possible for a woman to get pregnant before menstruation begins again. Im breastfeeding. Should I take an emergency birth control?

As far as I know my doctor said chances of pregnancy are on the lower side when your breastfeeding. I asked her this question last week I’m 7 weeks pp I also had a C section. Was worried about the same thing!

Honestly, I would. I keep getting told just because you don’t have a period doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant.

It's true.. you ovulate before you get your period so it's quite possible to get pregnant before you get back your periods.

Yes. And then get some long term contraception in place. Breast feeding can lower the chances but not eradicate them. And no periods doesn’t mean you haven’t ovulated. Don’t risk it after a c section.

Great input! Thanks all
