Bottle feeding issues

Little one is currently 13 weeks old, bottle fed. She has always been difficult to feed, even when she was breastfed for a month. She is all over the place, she will have 2 ounces when she first wakes up, then after an hour another ounce, and then she will want food when she is asleep and will awake from her nap. She will however eat 4 ounces in one go when she is asleep and there's no issues. She gets frustrated with her bottle, she is size 1, the same way when I change it to size 2. Sometimes it gets to the point that she is starving and wants to go to sleep but she will be too frustrated to take the bottle so I have to use the dummy first to let her fall asleep and then only feed her during her nap. Then she has to be upright 20-30 minutes and by this time she sometimes wakes up again 🥲 Anyone please any advice?

Which bottles/teats are you using? My LO would not get along at all with Tommee Tippee, but was absolutely fine with Asdas own brand or MAM x

@Diana we're with tommee tippee too for two months now, we could try those out too 😶

I was told by the nurses in NICU that the teat from TT bottles are way too hard and babe gets too tired and frustrated. Definitely try something else. Perhaps get one bottle only for starters to see if it’d make a difference for babe. Xx

Sounds like cluster feeding

hmm, that sounds super frustrating, maybe try different bottle shapes or nipples to see if she likes one better? this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It sounds like you're facing quite a challenge with your little one's feeding habits. It's common for infants to have varying feeding patterns, but her frustration with the bottle and the need to feed while asleep can be concerning. You might consider trying a different bottle or nipple shape, as some babies prefer certain designs. Additionally, establishing a more consistent feeding schedule could help her anticipate when to eat, potentially reducing frustration. Have you noticed any specific times of day when she seems more willing to eat, or any particular environments that help her feed better?

@Kalie that’s what I was thinking too

@Susan the best time she eats in when we do dream feeds at night, chugs down the whole bottle so quickly and without fuss. I've tried putting her in quiet room, facing a plain wall etc, but no, nothing works. It's so so frustrating, never know when she'll feed, or if can you to go out, nevermind an hour car journey somewhere, wasting so much formula too 😢 All this time HV keeps saying it's normal that she snacks but it's getting to the point I'm really getting isolated now, struggling to out with this feeding pattern 😭 I've ordered mam bottles so we'll give those a go

@Kalie don't think she's been cluster feeding non stop for 13 weeks now :/

My daughter was for 3 months to help my supply but I ended up just formula feeding
