@Achini cloth diapers. Unscented detergent.
Are you sure all the ammonia is coming out of the diapers? Cloth diapers smell really badly once they're peed in if the ammonia isn't all the way gone. Especially if you're using microfiber. Are you using vinegar in them?
@Jessica they don't smell bad after being washed and dried only when wet with urine. Do you think vinegar would help?
It's probably that the ammonia isn't coming out. They won't smell bad after washing, but then when they're peed in again, I think it reactivates the ammonia or something, which makes them smell insanely bad. Just look up how to do a strip and you'll want to integrate vinegar into your wash routine. Sunlight is also very helpful. Microfiber is also the worst for ammonia buildup.
You could also test out with a disposable diaper and see if it’ll smell. Then you can either rule out whether it’s the diaper or not
It sounds like your cloth diaper have build up! Do a swish test after washing them. Put water in a clear bowl and swish a clean diaper in it. If it gets soapy then you have build up. You’ll need to rinse the heck out of them until the water is clear and change the amount of soap you are using in the wash. Sometimes the hardness of the water is a contributing factor which determines if you need to use more or less soap

Is it his pee or is it the diaper. Coz we used this Millie moon brand and that diaper really smells bad ! But not in pampers brand. Something to consider
