@Allexys I have to do it at thous times or it hurts quite a bit I've explained this to him multiple times , I told him multiple times before I returned n had this pump schedule befor I got bk to work knowing my breaks and when they be , and he don't think I can't get done before I leave today but I can I'm almost done with everything 🤷♀️ on top of that I'm taking 1 extra break at the end of my shift due to being 11 to 8 I can't wait till I get home since I don't live close enough to do that
I’m not saying the way you feel is wrong but like. That’s work. From what I read you’re getting 4 breaks which is fair, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to adjust. But I’m sure my opinion is unpopular.
@Allexys I told him exactly what happens when I don't pump on time he said it be fine , he forgot I use to stock and one of the best ones they had before I swapped so I get all my stuff done well before I need to have it done , and yet he thinks I'm not gunna since i haven't in 2 years
I think as cruel as it sounds they only have to accommodate you time to pump and not exactly how you want it. It can be detrimental to business’ to have someone out for let’s say 2 hours per shift if you’re taking half an hour each time. It seems like your job has a bit of a time crunch and if things have to get done then that’s how it has to be as long as you’re still allowed your time they’re fulfilling their part
I would report him. These are not real breaks like the other people have commented, this is necessary for you to function properly at work. They wouldn’t tell a person with a disability or religion that they can’t stop working at a certain time because they need meds/need to pray, so why would they tell you that? Report his ass to everyone who will listen!
How do they want you to even follow a schedule when they can’t commit to it either? Guy sends a message past 2 to tell you to go to lunch at 2 and be back at 3? Thats not even your full hour of lunch? He wants you to go back in time or what? He sounds like an ass anyway
@Aaliyah he agreed and knows I go to lunch at 3am well typically 240 and he agreed to let me go at 3 verbally
@Rebecca his a cocky dumbass who is getting reported for not accommodating me , there a team lead who has breast feeding mothers n that pumped and it not what the mangers want its wht the body tell you when not them
I wonder if Brian was a female would we be even having this conversation??
Hate that he's micro managing you. Also hate that you have to work an overnight shift. I hope one day you're in management and can give your nursing employees freedom to pump when they need. May you stumble onto a financial windfall so you can leave your work situation (or get a new manager).
Report to HR by email and fwd a copy to yourself. Many things can unfold from this and you need paper trail.
@MJ he has a wife and a child so he ducking knows this is not a thing like oh u can pump earlier or later 😒 it hurts if to soon n ruins a shirt if to late even with the pads
@Mee I like working nights so we never need child care inless we are going out for just us time, n I am reporting him since I got done well before 6am and didn't get my 2nd break n just sat down n started pumping since some asshole was locked in rhe mother's room n I'm the only mother pumping in the store during overnights and morings
@𝔾𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖 I'll be asking for her email

“Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), most employees* have the right to reasonable break time and a private place to pump breast milk for her nursing child. Specifically, covered employers are required to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child each time such employee has need to express the milk for one year after the child’s birth.” This is the law. I would print this off and hand it in to the management above his head. This is ridiculous. (* Certain employees of airlines, railroads, and motorcoach carriers are exempt from the pump at work protections of the FLSA.)

I feel like if they’re giving you multiple breaks just not at the exact right time you should shift your pumping a bit to Compromise. I’ve breastfed 4 kids, two while I was working and had to pump at work.
