Post c section/epidural shakes

Keep seeing videos of people Getting the shakes after a c section and epidurals. I’m terrified!! I’ve seen anti sickness can be given to stop vomiting but what can be done for the shakes? It’s so scary to see 5 weeks before you’re due a planned c section :/

Shakes not just from that. Can also just be from surge of adrenaline when you give birth. Not sure there’s a lot that can be done for them.

Try not to worry too much (if possible!) I didn’t have a section last time but I had a spinal block for forceps and episiotomy.. I knew nothing about the shakes and it was a bit weird but you have your baby with you so quickly, you’re really distracted and they don’t last long. It’s just like uncontrollable shivering for a bit, it’s not bad at all x

I got the shakes whilst I was still on the operating table (emergency section). Anaesthetist said it was from the morphine/adrenaline come down. It wasn't bad and makes us laugh as a memory looking back now as my partner asked the anesthetist if I was going to die! Whilst we both looked at him like "what?" Haha 😄
