Do some of y'alls ever worry about how easy your kids could be to dox because of their overly you-neek names?

Not while they're kids obviously, but in the future. Sometimes there's a lot of value in NOT being the only search result that comes up with your name

My first daughter doesn’t have an overtly unique name; it’s an old school name our grannies would have been named but isn’t one of the popular old names we often see used by most people in our generation. Our next two baby names are very unique, and I’ve never considered that an issue before you’ve brought it up. Our names are gorgeous names, so I’m not going to change them to anything more ordinary, but it did make me think about it

Unique names are the best names

how would this even work lol?

What do you mean by dox? I don’t understand the concern.

I don’t share my child’s name very freely. 🤷‍♀️ And I grew up using nothing but screen names when it came to online activities. So that’s the route we’ll go

My name is unique - googling just my first name gives you a LOT of information about me because there doesn’t seem to be anyone else on the internet with my same first name. I’ve been fairly cautious with privacy in the past but I can’t say it’s ever been an issue and I’m 41.

Common names are just as easy to dox. Finding information on the internet on anyone isn’t a very difficult task 🤷🏼‍♀️
